a. We have business and personal relationships with lumber vendors from around the world. We also have a very good relationship with a company that spends 20% of their year traveling the World looking for special trees and lumber.

b. Because of these relationships, we have access to one of the largest collections of wood in the world. We just finished a New York City project for a high-end clothing boutique whereby we purchased material in quantities and quality that we could not get from any other company. We can do the same for you.

c. We also have access to what has previously been called, "unavailable" material. For example, we have access to selections of East Indian Rosewood that were collected from a European source that had the material tucked away for 50 years.

d. Wood selection should be collaborative; therefore, we will only guide you towards materials that will suit you. We will share our thoughts through photographs, conversation, email, and sketches. Our goal is to see that you make your decisions in an informed and comfortable manner. Issues - controllable & those less controllable

e. Working with solid wood materials successfully takes care and attention. Some issues are controllable, like what piece of wood to use or what type of joint to use. Other issues are less controllable - like keeping some types of cracks from expanding. We will guide you to what will work best.

f. We have been pretty successful in knowing what we can control and what we can't. We will share this information as we go so that we can create the best solutions possible.

a. Sam Willard co-leads a Tree Service firm with his two sons. Since 1972, this business has provided access to some of the largest and highest quality wood materials in the region. This material is sustainable, renewable and full of character.

b. With more than 35 domestic species of flitch cut lumber (cut with the "free" edge left intact and as wide as the tree was), we have a large collection of material to select from.

c. Material milled from this resource is cataloged, organized and available for clients to select from. We have a limited quantity of material big enough for 12' (3 meter) long and 7 ft (2.25 meter) wide projects.

d. We have everything from straight grained, conservatively colored materials like ash all the way to fantastically intricate burls and root sections. Put another way, we have great material for more modestly designed furniture (that also need full functionality) like a dining table, all the way to having wild colored and shaped pieces for a stunning coffee table.
