b. Because of these relationships, we have
access to one of the largest collections of wood in the world. We
just finished a New York City project for a high-end clothing boutique
whereby we purchased material in quantities and quality that we
could not get from any other company. We can do the same for you.
c. We also have access to what has previously
been called, "unavailable" material. For example, we have
access to selections of East Indian Rosewood that were collected
from a European source that had the material tucked away for 50
years.
d. Wood selection should be collaborative;
therefore, we will only guide you towards materials that will suit
you. We will share our thoughts through photographs, conversation,
email, and sketches. Our goal is to see that you make your decisions
in an informed and comfortable manner. Issues - controllable & those
less controllable
e. Working with solid wood materials successfully
takes care and attention. Some issues are controllable, like what
piece of wood to use or what type of joint to use. Other issues
are less controllable - like keeping some types of cracks from expanding.
We will guide you to what will work best.
f. We have been pretty successful in knowing
what we can control and what we can't. We will share this information
as we go so that we can create the best solutions possible.
